On May 27, 2009 Governor Charlie Crist signed the budget bill including $30.1M for the “Florida Homebuyer Opportunity Program” which helps with down payment assistance.

Beginning on July 1, 2009 first time buyers that qualify for the FREE (you do not have to pay it back) $8,000 (or 10%) tax credit, will be able to apply for down payment assistance and receive this money prior to closing on their home, using it as a down payment, and pay it back when they receive their tax refund.

If you have not owned a home in the last 3 years, this is free money that is only good until December 1 of 2009! Do not miss out on this opportunity, with interest rates at historic lows, and FHA financing available with as little as 3.5% down, now is the time to buy!  This applies to customers who purchase a home between January 1, 2009 and December 1, 2009 so time is running out! Please call for details and updates.
