    I would like to open this discussion to share some information about things that I found coming to North Port and then open it up to anyone who knows of anything else on the way or any questions about what it coming.

    I am going to start with the hospital which is something North Port has needed for a long time and the timing could not be better.  It will be called North Port Regional Medical center and will be a 75,000 sq. ft. medical office building providing ample space for medical practice in addition to the 24 hour emergency care the city of North Port.  More information on this project can be found at:  http://www.nprmc.com/Project_summary.html

    For those of you wondering what is going on across the street form the North Port Wal-Mart and Home Depot, the Benderson Development project it is going to be the Coco-Plum Village Shops.  Going in at this location so far is Lowe's Home Improvement, Publix, The Sports Authority, Bealls, and Walgreens.

    I have heard several rumors of a Best Buy store coming and would love to hear any input anyone has about this.  If you have any other rumors you have heard about, please share them with us and we will try to get them straightened out.
